ABOUT US
Brad Cox was a producer of International Emmy Award-winning television, a content strategist and business leader with more than 35 years of experience working across Australia and around the world.
Brad began his business career at just 23, when he and a friend opened a shop on Melbourne’s iconic Bourke Street. In the 1980s, they were pioneers in television merchandise. By 25, Brad had worked, as a Tour Coordinator for a major music artist.
His multi award winning television career took him around the world, working with major sporting organisations including FIBA, FIFA and the IAAF, before pivoting into general television production and working on major US prime-time programs such as The Amazing Race.
He has led large teams at national television networks internationally , as both a content strategist and as senior management.
In recent years, he has focused increasingly on helping people in the NDIS community and advocating for Australians who often find themselves struggling with complex systems and bureaucracy.
Brad has experienced firsthand some of the failures in Victoria’s public services.
He endured the COVID hotel lockdown debacle personally, and has endured 18 hour waits in emergency departments .
He believes Australians deserve faster emergency care, shorter hospital wait times and better access to essential treatments.
As a father of a 16-year-old son, he is passionate about safer streets, safer public transport and a safer CBD.
Brad also believes our education system has become unnecessarily bureaucratic. He wants to see a return to core subjects and learning the fundamentals, giving students the skills and knowledge they need to succeed.
Brad is not a career politician. He brings more than four decades of experience in business, media, international organisations, leadership and problem-solving.
Brad has been married to his Indonesian wife for 17 years, and earlier this year his wife proudly became an Australian citizen.
