ABOUT US
Cameron Reid is the One Nation candidate for Point Cook, committed to safer communities, more affordable housing, and practical support for local families.
"Point Cook deserves representation that puts local residents first. My focus is simple: safer communities, affordable housing, support for frontline workers and ensuring government delivers real value for taxpayers."
Having lived in Point Cook with his family for more than 20 years, Cameron has witnessed the area's rapid growth and understands the challenges it has created for local residents. Rising living costs, housing affordability pressures, community safety concerns, and increasing strain on infrastructure and services are issues he believes require practical, common sense solutions.
Cameron brings three decades of experience in emergency response roles within the Department of Justice. His frontline career has provided firsthand insight into public safety, crisis management, and the challenges faced by emergency workers. He is a strong advocate for better support, safer workplaces, and improved resourcing for frontline personnel.
In addition to his public sector career, Cameron is a licensed real estate agent and buyer's agent, who works closely with renters, first-home buyers, investors, and families navigating Victoria's property market. Through this experience, he has developed a strong understanding of the barriers many people face in securing affordable and stable housing.
Beyond his professional career, Cameron is actively involved in the Wyndham community as a junior basketball coach with the Wyndham Basketball Association, coaching players across Under 10, to Under 14 age groups. He values the role community sports plays in building confidence, discipline, resilience, and a sense of community among young people.
As a candidate for Point Cook, Cameron's key priorities include community safety and crime prevention, support for frontline and emergency workers, affordable housing, cost-of-living relief, responsible government spending, lower taxes, improved local infrastructure, and practical environmental policies.
He is committed to delivering practical outcomes for Point Cook families, homeowners, renters, small businesses, and young people seeking a secure future in the community they call home.
At a time when many Victorians are concerned about the rising debt, cost of living pressures, and community safety, Cameron believes it is time for a fresh approach. He is committed to standing up for Point Cook and the broader Victorian community, advocating for responsible government, safer neighbourhoods, stronger local services and policies that help families and businesses thrive.
Point Cook deserves representation that puts local residents first. My focus is simple: safer communities, affordable housing, support for frontline workers and ensuring government delivers real value for taxpayers.
