Daniel Killey is a practising psychologist, small business founder, and the One Nation candidate for Evelyn.

Born in South Africa and raised in Melbourne’s outer-east by a single mother, Daniel grew up understanding the daily pressures facing working families. Before transitioning to community health, he enlisted as a Combat Engineer and served for 15 years in the ADF.

In 2018, Daniel founded a community mental health practice spanning Lilydale, Boronia, Croydon, and Mitcham, and aimed to tangibly support his community. When reduced funding impacted school mental health access, Daniel established a mental health service in over 20 schools at no cost to families or schools. During COVID lockdowns, his clinics and dedicated staff remained open to ensure uninterrupted in-person care.

Daniel also serves as a board member for the CCC Foundation, supporting school mental health programs in Australia alongside a cancer recovery ward and crisis support line in Sri Lanka.

Daniel is determined to ensure the outer-east receives a fair go, like addressing the impact of compounding taxes and cost of living while ensuring citizens receive the quality roads, transport links, and regional health services they were promised, despite rapid population growth. Protecting the Valley’s unique character is equally vital. Particularly for those living around Coldstream, Yering, Gruyere, Wandin and Seville where development must preserve the local autonomy and lifestyle of the Valley’s Green Wedge. 

Daniel brings a practical, solutions-focused approach grounded in defence, small business, and healthcare service. He believes the Yarra Valley and outer-east deserve dedicated representation focused on local families, not career politicians driven by factional infighting and institutional interests. With One Nation, Daniel aims to ease the cost of living, strengthen law and order, secure infrastructure, protect the Green Wedge, and restore genuine government accountability to the citizens.
