For almost 30 years, Gavin has dedicated his career to serving and protecting the community as a police officer and throughout that time, he has seen firsthand the challenges faced by individuals, families and vulnerable members of our community. He sees an increase in the cost of living as one of the contributing factors to this increase in crime and Family violence

His 15 years as a Police Prosecutor gave him extensive experience in criminal law and the justice system. This experience has shown Gavin the failings of the criminal justice system, from the state law makers down to the hand tied judiciary. Today, he works predominantly in family law, with a focus on the increasing crime and family violence in the electorate and surrounds, while continuing to advocate for victims and those who need support and a voice.

At the heart of Gavin's decision to stand for election is a genuine passion for helping others and making a difference. He believes the government should be more community focused and accountable for its decision to ensure people receive the support they need.

He is particularly passionate about addressing the cost-of-living pressures facing families, tackling youth crime, creating safer communities and strengthening support services for victims of domestic and family violence.

After a lifetime of service, Gavin is ready to bring his experience, compassion and determination to the role and to stand up for the people in his electorate.
