ABOUT US
Joh Bauch is a City Councillor, father and business owner who understands the pressures facing families every day, particularly across Melbourne’s growing West.
Born and raised in Melbourne, Joh comes from a migrant family. His father migrated from Europe in 1956, followed by his mother, bringing with them a strong work ethic and determination to build a better future.
Joh holds a Bachelor of Business from RMIT and a Postgraduate qualification in Law from Victoria Law School. Before entering politics, he worked in migration law and operated a media enterprise, building more than 17 years of experience in the private sector across corporate and management roles.
As a family man, Joh believes strongly in giving back to his community. He currently serves as a Councillor and has developed strong ties across Melbourne’s West, particularly in Sydenham, where he is committed to delivering practical solutions for residents facing rising costs, crime and inadequate infrastructure.
Joh is standing for One Nation because its priorities reflect his own: stronger law and order, secure borders, lower taxes, greater accountability in government and increased support for carers.
Community safety is a key priority for Joh. He believes Melbourne’s West has experienced years of neglect, with growing concerns around crime, violence and police resources. He is also concerned about major developments and infrastructure decisions being made without adequate consultation with local communities.
As one of Australia’s fastest-growing regions, Joh believes Melbourne’s West deserves infrastructure that keeps pace with its population. His priorities include better roads, improved public transport and the duplication of Taylors Road.
Joh is proud to represent Sydenham and remains committed to working with local communities to achieve practical outcomes. He believes the West deserves better and is determined to stand up for the people who call it home.
