ABOUT US
John O’Connor brings 33 years of operational policing experience and a longstanding commitment to community service to his candidacy for One Nation in the Victorian electorate of Ringwood.
Throughout his policing career, John worked exclusively in operational roles, gaining firsthand experience in law enforcement, crime prevention and the challenges facing local communities. Since leaving Victoria Police, he has worked in patient transport, private investigation and, more recently, as a delivery driver.
John has a long history of community involvement, beginning with service in the Army Reserve during the 1980s. He has served on the Rangeview School Council, as Secretary of St John’s Junior Football Club and for five years as Secretary of Heathmont Junior Football Club, where he is also a Life Member. He has also served on the committee of Heathmont Football Netball Club.
John’s decision to stand for Parliament reflects his growing concerns about Victoria’s deteriorating infrastructure, overburdened health system, and rising crime. Drawing on his extensive policing background and community involvement, he is particularly focused on crime prevention, community safety, improving roads and transport, and greater government accountability.
He believes that the concerns of local residents deserve to be heard and addressed by their elected representatives.
