Ross McRae never planned on entering politics. However, given the state of the economy, he believes his practical experience and independence from political culture give him the opportunity to deliver better results for the Bellarine community than its current representatives.

Ross is not pursuing politics because he wants a political career. He is standing because he believes the Bellarine community deserves better.

For 10 years, Ross had the privilege of serving Australia in the Australian Army. That service taught him the importance of leadership, teamwork, personal responsibility and putting the interests of others ahead of his own.

Since leaving the military, Ross has built a professional career across cyber security, artificial intelligence, technology, risk, corporate governance and leadership. He has experience running his own business as well as working in environments where decisions have real consequences and accountability matters.

These experiences have shaped a simple belief: public office should be about service, not a career.

Ross believes Bellarine needs a representative who is prepared to listen to the community, challenge poor decisions and demand better outcomes from government.

He is standing because he wants to protect the people of Bellarine, their lifestyle, and community spaces

Ross is focused on ensuring Bellarine has infrastructure that is fit for purpose, families can afford their bills, communities are safe, local businesses can prosper, heritage is protected and taxpayers receive value for their money.

Most importantly, Ross wants to provide the people of Bellarine with a representative who listens before speaking and acts when something needs to be done.

He has served his country before.
