ABOUT US
Shaun Virsu is standing as the One Nation candidate for Prahran because he believes the community deserves safer streets, stronger local businesses and a government that is accountable to the people it serves.
Working in pharmaceutical manufacturing and managing a mortgage, Shaun understands firsthand the pressures facing everyday Australians as the cost of living continues to rise. He knows how difficult it has become for working Australians to afford a home, support a family, manage household expenses and plan for the future.
Shaun is also a Reservist Officer in the Royal Australian Navy. His military service has strengthened his commitment to leadership, responsibility, discipline and serving the Australian community.
He believes Prahran needs practical representation that is prepared to stand up for the interests of local residents and small businesses.
Shaun wants to see safer and cleaner streets, stronger support for small businesses and greater accountability from government. He believes taxpayers deserve value for money and that Victoria's public service should be focused on delivering effective services rather than unnecessary bureaucracy.
He is also committed to strengthening Victoria's justice system and ensuring victims of crime are properly supported. Shaun believes laws should protect the community, perpetrators should be held accountable and the rights of law-abiding Australians must be respected.
Shaun believes the Australian dream should still be within reach - the ability to work hard, own a home, raise a family, build a secure future and retire with pride in what has been achieved.
He is not entering politics for a career. He is standing because he believes Prahran and Victoria need representatives who are prepared to listen, challenge the status quo and fight for practical results.
Shaun Virsu is ready to stand up for Prahran and bring a stronger voice for everyday Australians to Parliament.
