Stephen Spyros is a dedicated Victorian police officer, proud father of two, and lifelong local of the Geelong region who is standing with Pauline Hanson's One Nation for the seat of Lara to restore common sense, safety and fairness for everyday Australians.

Born in Geelong and now living in Lara with his partner and two children, Stephen has spent the last six years serving on the front line of Victoria's policing. He began as a Protective Services Officer in 2018 in the suburb Werribee, before transitioning to a fully sworn police officer in 2021.

Day after day, Stephen has witnessed the consequences of soft-on-crime policies and a political class he believes is more focused on ideology than its citizens.

"Crime is rising, everything is more expensive, people don’t feel safe anymore and they aren’t being listened to."

Stephen points to the state's ongoing Royal Commission into corruption within Victoria's construction industry as proof that concerns about a government that has lost its way are well founded, not fringe opinion.

As a frontline officer, he has seen Victoria change.

"The state doesn't feel as safe as it once did, it now feels like a war zone"

"The cost of living is hurting all Australian families and the taxes continue to increase further straining families. I don't think enough is being done about it."

These lived experiences have driven Stephen to One Nation's practical, Australia-first agenda.

"It's time for common-sense leadership that puts Australians first."

With a young family to protect and a deep commitment to the community he serves, Stephen Spyros is ready to take the fight for a safer, fairer and more affordable Victoria to the people - standing firmly with One Nation.

I was completely fed up with a progressive, ideological government that I believe has lost the trust of Victorians. I stand for common sense, and that is exactly what One Nation stands for.
