Tim Barber sees things from a practical point of view. Growing up on a farm in rural Victoria before going on to operate a small steel fabrication and car restoration business with his wife taught him the value of hard work, common sense and finding practical solutions.

“There are ways to fix most things that are broken,” Tim says.

What concerns Tim most today is the growing feeling that many communities are being forgotten.

"Infrastructure is diverse. For families in our growing peri-urban communities, population growth is putting increasing pressure on roads, services and infrastructure. Further from Melbourne, farmers and rural communities face many of those same pressures, compounded by distance, rising costs and increasingly difficult conditions for small business and agriculture."

Recent bushfires have also left their mark on communities across the electorate. Tim believes these events have reinforced the importance of strong local communities, properly resourced emergency services and governments that understand what is happening on the ground.
Tim believes the people of Eildon deserve sensible, practical representation focused on outcomes rather than politics as usual.

He is standing for One Nation because he believes families, farmers, tradespeople and small businesses deserve a stronger voice in Parliament and a government that respects the people who work hard, employ others and contribute to their communities.

Tim wants better roads and infrastructure, properly resourced emergency services, relief from unnecessary taxes and charges, support for farmers and small businesses, and a fairer share of government investment for the communities of Eildon.

“I’m proud to call this part of Victoria home. I want our children and grandchildren to inherit a place where hard work is rewarded, communities are supported and people can look to the future with confidence.”
