Troy Steans is a community advocate, emergency services volunteer and experienced transport professional who believes Victoria needs representatives who listen and understands local challenges.

For more than 20 years, he has worked in Victoria’s public transport and coach industry, gaining extensive experience in operational management, service delivery, workplace safety and working with government, councils, schools and community organisations.

His career has taught him that good government is about more than promises. It is about understanding problems, finding practical solutions and delivering results that improve people’s everyday lives.

Troy has dedicated almost 25 years to volunteering with the Country Fire Authority (CFA), serving his community and helping protect lives and property. This experience has given him a first-hand understanding of the dedication and sacrifice of frontline emergency responders and strengthened his commitment to ensuring they have the resources, support and equipment they need to keep communities safe.

Troy is passionate about Melbourne’s growing northern suburbs and believes infrastructure must keep pace with development. He will advocate for safer roads, better transport, stronger emergency services and the schools, parks and community facilities growing communities need.

Troy believes elected representatives must remain connected to the people they represent. Communities deserve a local voice that is accessible, accountable and prepared to stand up for them every day, not just during an election campaign.

His approach is simple: listen to the community, speak up for the community and deliver for the community because we have been forgotten in the north!

Troy is putting his experience and community commitment forward because he believes Victoria can do better, and local communities deserve a stronger voice in the decisions that shape their future.
