Melbourne CBD on New Year’s Eve: The Reality of Mass Migration
This is the reality of Melbourne CBD on NYE - can you spot a Westerner?
Melbourne is often described as one of the world’s most liveable cities, yet for many Australians, the reality is that some suburbs in Melbourne, or at certain times of the year, our streets feel unrecognisable as a Western city at all.
This is an issue. Because no matter how individually people might be good, respectful, and law-abiding, it is dangerous on the COLLECTIVE level, as a Nation - as ONE PEOPLE.
The collective outcome of decades of mass migration and enforced multiculturalism is clear: cultural erosion, weakened social cohesion, and demographic displacement.
Multiculturalism is a failed concept.
When we start seeing clusters of what are supposed to be "minorities" - to the point that WE, feel like the outsiders - it is a problem. And a big one.
Mass Migration and Demographic Change
Australia runs one of the highest immigration intakes per capita in the developed world. According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, Melbourne’s population growth has been driven overwhelmingly by overseas migration, not natural increase. In fact, Australia’s Total Fertility Rate (TFR) has been consistently below the replacement level since the mid-1970s.
Instead of newcomers adapting to a shared national culture, what we are seeing is the creation of ethnic and cultural clusters, linguistic and social segregation, and parallel communities operating alongside — not within — mainstream society.
This is not multiculturalism “working.” It is fragmentation by design.
Because when demographic change reaches the point — as we see every New Year’s Eve in Melbourne CBD — where, in a Western country, Westerners feel out of place in their own city centres, something fundamental has broken.
Ultimately, public spaces lose their shared character. Social trust declines. National identity becomes vague, contested, or meaningless. A nation is more than GDP and infrastructure — it is people, culture, history, and continuity.
Once those are eroded, rebuilding them is extraordinarily difficult.
Europe Is the Warning We Keep Ignoring
Australia does not need to guess where this path leads. We only need to look at Europe.
The UK, Germany, France, and Italy all embraced large-scale migration. The results are now undeniable:
- Social fragmentation
- Rising crime
- No-go zones
For example, this year alone, Christmas markets have been invaded, boycotted, or cancelled. Crosses are being vandalised, and the head of baby Jesus decapitated. In schools, meals are being changed to suit “halal” requirements. And the list goes on.
These outcomes are the result of terrible policy choices, and ignoring Europe’s experience is reckless.
Multiculturalism fails because it removes the expectation of integration under the pretence that all cultures are equal — but they are simply not.
Western culture is not equal to cultures that force women to cover up or marry by arrangement. It is not equal to those that allow child marriage. It is not equal to cultures that do not respect other religions or that engage in jihadism. And acknowledging this is not racist.
Australia Must Change Course
What we saw in Melbourne on New Year’s Eve did not happen overnight, nor by chance.
It is the predictable outcome of policies that prioritised ideology over cohesion, numbers over nationhood, and diversity over unity — an outcome Senator Hanson has been warning about for decades.
Questioning this is not racist. Opposing it is not extreme — it is necessary.
You don’t have to be a practising Christian to acknowledge a simple truth: Western civilisation and democracy were built upon Christian values.
If Australia wants to remain a cohesive, confident Western nation, we must rethink multiculturalism, reduce mass migration, limit the intake of migrants from non-culturally cohesive countries, and restore integration as a non-negotiable expectation — before the damage becomes irreversible.
One Nation and Senator Hanson have been at the forefront of this issue for decades, and we will not stop fighting.
